Redesigned Hobby Farm in Canon Falls, MN

This darling nook rests in a home on a hobby farm in Cannon Falls Minnesota. Our homeowner, Beth, needed a vignette in her entry to accent her antiques and feature the curved base of the stairwell.

Due to the unique arced dimensions of this corner, Beth met challenges finding a way to connect this entry to the adjoining dining room so it would flow into the rest of the first floor. To create that connection and flow, Su Casa searched for new pieces that would work in the space along with Beth’s existing items. We also needed to address and complement the curvature of the architecture.

We found this darling curved bench at Que Sera’ a fabulous store in the Galleria Shopping Center of Edina, Minnesota. It’s bowed frame fit perfectly and it added seating along with softness and texture via the custom ordered seat cushion with fabric selected by the homeowner.

The tile art was located at a Design shop in Apple Valley and the adorable lamp and round metal end table at Pier I Imports. This grouping was the perfect fit for Beth’s unique and beautiful home and reflected her style and taste for the eclectic, antique and charming. The vintage picnic basket and framed mirror were pieces she owned, completing the desired look.
